Our Purpose is to focus on outreach, here in Sonoma County. SAVS staff meets unsheltered individuals on the street, in parks, libraries, and other public places, to find out their needs, their health, and their dreams. We help them contact other agencies, shelters, housing providers, and government programs to improve their lives.

including shelters, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, and independent housing.

Safe Parking
Safe parking is a great way to offer a safe space for those without shelter. Our safe parking programs include facilities for hygiene and overnight security. They can be placed on unused lots at places like churches or warehouses. With 30% of Sonoma County’s unsheltered having cars, safe parking is cost-effective and easily established.

Sanctioned RV Parks
RV parks include a place to store an RV, power, water, sanitation services, common eating areas and 24/7 security. We believe this is often the best way to provide interim supportive housing at an affordable cost and with real dignity.

Tiny Home Villages
Tiny home villages are a great long-term solution to the housing shortage. That’s because they provide permanent housing to those that cannot afford market rate houses or even rent-subsidized housing. They are affordable, space and energy efficient and enhance the community around them by bringing people off the street and into the greater community.

Uniquely, SAVS is dedicated to co-managing each village with our residents to create a warm, welcoming and stable home.

SAVS provides food, safety and coordinate services – like healthcare and access to social service programs as well as coordinated entry services at each tiny village. For their part, residents will participate in site safety, sanitation and conflict resolution meetings while living on site.
