Village Operations
With your support, SAVS was awarded two major grants to open and operate Horizon Shine Village in Sebastopol and a new, larger village in Santa Rosa.
Your donations also go to support day in and day out needs at the village - like purchasing tools, storage, signs and supporting our volunteers and some of our staff.
A New Dog Run Our villagers now have a great place for their dogs to run and play. Dogs are great companions for those struggling to find permanent shelter - and in our village, pups are safe and well taken care of.
New Showers What an amazing gift - a hot shower can be! Thanks to you, our villagers get hot showers - and on top of that they were built by a local builder named Drake and they are portable too!
New Bathrooms We were able to purchase a used a portable flush toilet bathroom trailer - a major upgrade over porta-potties. The villagers thank you very very much!! These toilets deliver on our promise of shelter with dignity!
