Victoria Yanez
Ms. Yanez is an attorney with the lived experience of homelessness. Her legal practice is focused on worker’s rights and poverty law. She provides pro-bono assistance to homeless individuals defending themselves against homelessness-related charges. She has been active in community organizing around homeless issues since 1986, when she was working as staff attorney with Redwood Legal Assistance in Eureka, California. In 2014, she became active with Homeless Action!, with a focus on the treatment of homeless people by the police. Victoria is the Recipient of the Lauren Miller Legal Services award from the Sonoma County Bar Association. She is a former participant on the Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women. Ms. Yanez received her JD from New College of California School of Law, San Francisco.
